I am certified through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) as a corrective exercise specialist, personal trainer, and performance enhancement specialist. I have also studied at the European School of Osteopathy perfecting my knowledge of anatomy, and treatment mobilisation techniques. (See my reviews on Google)

Sports Massage is the art and science of applying clinical orthopaedic massage skills and related techniques to facilitate the health, wellbeing, and performance of the individual.
Sports massage is a ‘whole-person’ model (physical, mental, emotional, social), and improves human performance by:
- Optimising performance areas
- Reducing injury potential
- Supporting soft tissue healing and recovery
- Decreasing muscle stiffness and soreness
Sports massage is not just for athletes and sports people. Sports massage is highly effective in its therapeutic effectiveness in reducing pain, increasing flexibility, reducing stress, enhancing recovery, and improving posture. Sports Massage is also very effective in dealing with lower back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, postural issues, joint problems, injuries, health, and wellness.
The techniques I apply are an ideal accompaniment to any sports training programme. Injuries and chronic pains will be specifically targeted and dealt with, while simple aching and stiffness will be relieved before they have a chance to become more serious. Regular treatments can prevent injury and speed up recovery. They can also considerably enhance physical performance by freeing up the tissues of the body.
More specifically, sports massage initiates a cascading chain of positive physiological and psychological changes in the body, including:
- Improved fluid circulation
- Muscular relaxation
- Separation of muscle and connective tissue Formation of healthy scar tissue
- Connective tissue normalisation
- Deactivation of trigger points
- General relaxation
- Anxiety reduction
- Increased feelings of well-being
- Increased alertness and mental clarity
- Greater energy
- Freer movement of joints
- Faster recovery
- Pain reduction
- More positive outlook and motivation
What I can do for YOU
Some clients come to me as they have developed tightness and restrictions in their bodies, resulting in a limited range of movement. I help such clients to release this tightness so that they can function better, be more at ease, and develop improved movement and health.
Some people need sports massage and stretching in order to aid general maintenance, and people who exercise or work-out come to see me in order to improve recovery rates and function.
When clients see me for the first time. they can expect the following:
- A personal, confidential and professional service.
- A consultation to understand the problem/issue and any relevant history.
- Methodical and systematic testing to determine the main areas to focus on.
- Undertake the treatment; this will be addressed via manipulation, soft tissue and osteopathic techniques.
- Provide advice and information for post treatment support
Its always my aim that my clients leave feeling satisfied that they have been afforded a bespoke, individual and tailored treatment for their needs.
